As a member, you are part of a cooperative created with your benefit in mind. That makes you much more than an account number. In fact, the more you use the credit union's services, the more you and other members will benefit.
Membership Eligibility
Everyone is welcome to join Associated CU.
Did you know that when you join ACU, your relatives are also eligible to join and use Associated CU? If you have any questions about membership, please visit any of our locations or contact us by phone or e-mail. Applying for membership is easy. Print out a Membership Application, fill out the required fields and return with the appropriate money and a copy of your valid driver's license; if it is a joint account, we will need a signature and a copy of the that person's valid driver's license, also.
Important Information About Opening A New Account
To help the United States government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, record and retain information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open a new share and/or loan account, we will require your legal name, social security number, address, date of birth, and any other information that will allow us to identify you. We also require photocopies of your Driver's License and/or other identifying documents. Any joint member(s) on your share and/or loan account(s) must also meet these requirements.
All applications for membership will be reviewed for eligibility and verified through a credit reporting agency.
