Associated Credit Union has been watching Washington as the details of the Sequester have played out. With the last of March approaching and seeing little positive results from the House and Senate, we have begun to put our own plans together for our members.
If the Sequester happens and some of our members are furloughed because of it, we will help to bridge the difference in pay they may experience through an interest-free loan. * We will also allow CD withdrawals with no penalties.
*These loans will be done for federal employees that are already members of Associated Credit Union and have a direct deposit. They will be single pay loans due 60 days after payroll resumes. If the member does not pay the loan within the 60 day period, the loan will convert to a 12 month personal loan at a 5.5% interest rate. The member will have to request an advance for every missed or decreased paycheck. We will not automatically advance each payroll date.
The funds will be deposited in the account with the direct deposit.

This will give you a chance to catch any possible mistakes such as having your credit history mixed up with someone with a similar name.
