Youth Month—The Future is Your$
Picture it! Save for it! Share it!
We often look at pictures to remember the past, but are you ready to picture your future? If you ask your children, they can likely picture a future they would like to live in. For children and teenagers, the future brings limitless possibilities. But no matter what their dream is, financial education can be instrumental in helping them achieve their goals.
For the month of April, Associated Credit Union is celebrating Youth Month, which is a program that helps teach and encourage kids to develop good financial habits. Every member under the age of 16 who opens their own Safari Savings Club (joint with their parents) during the month of April will receive a special ACU Youth Month gift! Once your child's account has been opened, make sure and ask about the Greenlight Debit Card for kids!
The theme for this year’s Youth Month is “The future is yours... Picture it! Save for it! Share it!” Together, we’re encouraging youngsters to express themselves through photography, sharing their visions for their own financial futures so we can help them get there. As your credit union, we want to help you teach your children good financial habits. View this video to check out the theme!
ACU believes that greater financial knowledge can empower people to better manage their money and improve their quality of life. Which is why ACU is proud to offer Practical Money Skills—interactive tools and educational resources to help individuals and communities build stronger financial futures. One of these tools is Financial Football which helps teach financial concepts with a fast-paced, interactive game that engages students while teaching them money management skills.
