At Associated Credit Union, there is nothing more important to us than the health and safety of our teammates and members. With that being said, we are in the process of developing a comprehensive plan to reopen our lobbies that follows strict social distancing guidelines to keep you and our teammates safe.

When the time comes to open our lobbies, we want you to feel comfortable every time you walk through our doors. Every day, we will be taking extra steps to ensure the health and safety of our teammates and our members. We will keep everyone posted on updates.

What to know about the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)

Our government passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), which is a $2 trillion stimulus bill to address the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. The bill includes direct payments to many of our members who qualify.

How do I get my money?

The money would likely be deposited directly into your ACU account -- as long as you already authorized the IRS to send your tax refund via direct deposit to your ACU account in the past two years. If you authorized direct deposit via another checking account, it should deposit into that account. If you have not authorized direct deposit for your 2018 or 2019 tax filings, the IRS will send out checks in the mail.

What if I didn’t authorize the IRS to send my tax refund to my ACU account?

If the IRS doesn’t have your direct deposit information from the 2018 or 2019 tax return, and you haven’t received your payment, please click this link (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment) to let the IRS know where to send your direct deposit.

When will I receive my money?

ACU has no way of knowing how long it would take the IRS to send your money. We’ve read that the IRS would begin issuing payments in April 2020.

What if my ACU Savings or Checking account is closed?

If you authorized the IRS to send your tax refund to your ACU Savings or Checking account, but the ACU account is closed, then the IRS will mail your check.

You may request a branch appointment to access your safe deposit box, a medallion stamp*, a notary public stamp, fraud, loan checks/title loans, IRAs, wire transfers, or receive an instant issue debit card.**

*Medallion Stamps are only available at our Lawrenceville-Grayson Highway Branch and Wheeler Road/Augusta Branch.

**Instant Issue Debit Cards are available through our Drive-Thru locations. For all ITM locations, please make an appointment to receive an instant issue debit card.

Remote Access

We offer several other ways that you can continue to bank seamlessly from the comfort of your own home or while honoring social distancing:

  • Login to Online Banking.
  • Download our ACU Mobile App to deposit checks, pay bills, and transfer money.
  • Download our ACU Wallet App if you have an ACU Debit Card or ACU Credit Card for real-time transaction alerts and to turn your card on and off.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make the necessary modifications to balance your need for accessibility with the well-being of our members, our staff, and the communities we serve.

Branch Update

After extensive and careful deliberation, we have decided to close the lobbies of all of our branches and convert to Drive-Thru and Live-Teller Drive Thru (ITM) service only beginning Monday, March 23, 2020 to help protect against the spread of COVID-19.
