Join Us in Providing Nutritious Meals to Families at Children's Hospitals

This April, Associated Credit Union invites the community to join the 5th Annual Meal Bags Campaign – an effort that brings comfort, nourishment, and hope to families with children receiving care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

When a child is hospitalized, parents often spend long hours at their bedside, sometimes skipping meals to stay close. Through the Meal Bags Campaign, ACU provides nutritious, ready-to-eat meals so families can focus on what matters most.

How to Help

Throughout April, support the campaign by donating unopened, unexpired food items at any Associated Credit Union branch. Every contribution helps restock hospital pantries and ensures families have access to healthy, convenient meals during difficult times.

Suggested Food Donations

Help fill meal bags with nutritious, single-serving items such as:

• Microwaveable meals (spaghetti, chili, stew)
• Low-sodium soup cups
• Mac and cheese cups
• Oatmeal or grits cups
• Breakfast bars
• Fruit cups or applesauce (no added sugar)
• Tuna or chicken pouches, pop-top cans, or lunch kits
• Popcorn, trail mix, or granola bars
• Instant rice or beans in microwavable pouches
• Pudding or gelatin cups
• Crackers, dried fruit, or small bottled drinks

ACU team members will assemble and personally deliver the meal bags to both hospitals, ensuring every donation reaches families in need. Together, these small acts of kindness make a big difference providing strength, comfort, and care to families during their most challenging moments.
